Black Hills Energy Joins Operations Technology Development

Black Hills Energy recently became the 27th member of Operations Technology Development (OTD), a collaboration between some of North America’s leading natural gas utilities to develop, test, and implement new technologies. OTD leads initiatives to ensure the vast natural gas infrastructure is safe, resilient, and affordable. OTD’s members serve over 60 million customers in the U.S. and Canada, representing 75% of the households currently served by natural gas.
Black Hills Energy is a customer-focused, growth-oriented utility with a tradition of improving life with energy and a vision to be the energy partner of choice. Based in Rapid City, South Dakota, the company serves over 1.27 million natural gas and electric customers in eight states: Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming.
